Monroe-Woodbury students celebrated World Read Aloud Day by sharing stories with their classmates and listening to tales presented by guest readers. Superintendent of Schools Elsie Rodriguez had a special message for Smith Clove cuties, based on Mae Among the Stars, a story about Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel into space. Mrs. Rodriguez shared this important message:

"You can do anything if you dream it, believe in it and work hard."

Thanks to the families who shared photos of their family reading at home!  #mwfam #mwlegacy
