Dear Monroe-Woodbury Parents and Guardians,
I am excited to share some wonderful news regarding our school district's nutrition program. The district’s Community Eligibility Program (CEP) application has been approved by the New York State Education Department’s Child Nutrition Program and we are now able to provide free meals to all students in the district.
Beginning Wednesday, November 1, 2023, Monroe-Woodbury students will be entitled to receive one free breakfast and lunch daily. This is a significant development that reflects our commitment to ensuring that students have access to nutritious meals, regardless of their financial circumstances.
We understand that this change may prompt questions or require adjustments. Please be assured that further details will be provided to families prior to the November 1 start date.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in the education and well-being of our students. We believe that this change will be a positive step forward for the entire Monroe-Woodbury community and we remain committed to providing our students the best possible educational experience.
Warm regards,
Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
