Throughout Safety/Security Officer Appreciation Week, the district will feature the dedicated members of the M-W Safety Team who serve our school community with compassion and care. Thank you for keeping the students and staff of M-W safe and for becoming such an important part of the M-W family.
Officer Mahoney is now a familiar face at North Main. After several years in the building, he has become an integral part of our North Main Family. Not only does he greet our students at arrival, he helps walk them to their parents' cars at dismissal.
Officer Mahoney is constantly making his rounds in the building, sitting in classrooms, interacting with our students. He can often be found reading with our younger students and slowing the day down for some of the students by working on a puzzle in the library. We actually have "Puzzle Time" with Officer Mahoney. His presence in the building has given the staff a sense of security, and his personality makes him a true North Mainer!
Safety Officer Errol, or as the students call him "Mr. E," came to us during the Summer Bridges Program this past summer. We quickly realized he belongs at North Main permanently, and he officially joined the North Main family this month.
Safety Officer Errol can be seen at recess supervising students, and on many occasions he will interact with the children, building relationships that are so important to the work we do. Safety Officer Errol supervises arrival and dismissal, both critical and extremely time-oriented processes. He has only been here a short time, and has made a great first impression!
