At the recent regional Odyssey of the Mind competition held in Goshen, North Main's Odyssey team tackled Problem #5: Life is a Circus.
Problem Description:
Sometimes life seems like a circus! In problem 5 students were asked to create a young person character enjoying life in the real world. Then suddenly she wakes up in a circus in the middle of performing a circus act. Students created a real world and a circus world set and as part of the circus they also created 2 original animals who performed tricks and a clown who entertained the crowd. A ringmaster was also created to announce and interact with all of the circus acts. In the end, the young person returns to the regular world thinking it was all a dream until she sees a mysterious figure that turns out to be a character from the circus.
Team Pavignano includes students Emma Grecky, Tessa McNerney, Janelle Skelly, Breanne McCabe, Erin Murray and Adriana Hanna and is led by Alicia Pavignano. The team placed fifth for Problem #5: Division 1.
Well done, North Main!
