Happy Friday Crusaders! We hope you are having a terrific summer so far! August has arrived and we all know that means the start of the 2022-2023 school year will be here before we know it. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to remind our students of a few things that they will need to know before arriving on September 6th.Lockers: This year we will revert back to our no backpack policy which means that students will not be permitted to carry backpacks during regular school hours (8:15 am to 3:00 pm). This change will increase safety in both our hallways and our classrooms. On the first day of classes, every student will be assigned a locker in which to keep their belongings. All MWMS students will need to bring a combination lock with them to school during the first week of classes in order to secure their assigned locker and their belongings. Building Entrance: Safety of our students and staff is a top priority here at the middle school and to that end we will be utilizing only the main entrance to enter the building in the mornings. This is a change from the protocol utilized during Covid in which we instituted house entrances at four separate building locations. School Supplies:Be sure to continue to take care of your district issued chromebook and charger. Each student will need to bring their fully charged chromebook with them on the first day of classes so they are prepared for a great year of learning. During the first week of school, teachers will share with their students any additional supplies that may be needed to be successful in their classes. Middle School Modified Sports: As a reminder, the Middle School Modified Sports Registration opens on Saturday, August 6, at 2:00 p.m. for the upcoming fall season. Please see the website for more information. As we get closer to September 6th, we will continue to share additional information to prepare for the upcoming school year. Enjoy your weekend!
