Dear Parents & Guardians:

I hope you are enjoying the start of summer! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and let you know how excited I am to begin this journey with you as the Middle School Principal.

As Superintendent Rodriguez mentioned in her letter, I am entering my 21st year in the Monroe-Woodbury School District. I began my career teaching 5th grade at Central Valley Elementary before moving on to Smith Clove Elementary as an Assistant Principal and then Principal. I have truly loved being part of this school community over this period of time.

My past experiences as a teacher, coach, and administrator have taught me the importance of collaboration and teamwork. Your partnership with the school is invaluable and establishing a home/school connection is essential to promote an environment that focuses on respect and student success.

I am ecstatic that I will have the opportunity to work with many familiar faces! I am looking forward to reconnecting with those students and families that I have worked with in some capacity over the past 20 years. For those that I will be meeting for the first time, I cherish the opportunity to get to know your children and family. Making connections with students and families is some of the most important work we can do as educators.

As the summer progresses, you will be receiving email updates regarding key dates and upcoming events. I am ready to get to work and make some wonderful memories for our students!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and I look forward to welcoming your children to the start of a new school year in September!

Best Wishes,

Christopher Berger
