Q: What do you like best about the work your team does?
We all really love the wide variety of students that we get to work with and the experiences! We almost never have the same day twice, and it keeps us on our toes :)
Q: Three traits that define you/the department.
- Alumni
- Funny!! (At least we think so!)
- Caring
Q: Fun facts about your team:
4 of 6 School Counselors graduated from Monroe-Woodbury!
Our Middle School building used to be our High School building back in the day!
The current Guidance Department has worked together for 18+ years.
We get more excited than the students for snow days!
We all have a great sense of humor!
We all love working with Middle School students and staff!
Q: If you could suggest anything, we would suggest…
As a department, if we could do anything, we would encourage kids to take a break from social media and start connecting in real life! Social media got us through COVID and we are grateful for that. Things have changed now, and we can put the phones away :)
Q: What advice would you give your 12-year-old self?
Be patient, things will always work out!
