Good Evening 8th Grade Crusaders,
As we begin the second semester, I hope that all of you are off to a great start! It might be hard to believe, but you are just 20 weeks away from becoming high school students! In order to support you in this transition, we are working together with MWHS to provide you with some important information about your 9th grade year.
As the first step in this process, our 8th graders will be visiting the high school starting on January 18, 2022. On your assigned house visitation day, we will walk over to the high school with our middle school counselors and administrators. Please dress accordingly for the weather. During this visit, you will have a chance to hear from administrators, teachers, counselors and students about all of the amazing opportunities available at the high school. Additionally, you will be given a guided tour of the building.
Following the visits, you will be meeting with your middle school counselors to address any questions you might have and to learn how you will choose electives that are offered during your first year of high school.

Rising 9th Grade Orientation:
- January 18, 2022 Red House 8:40 - 10:00 AM
- January 19, 2022 Blue House 8:40 - 10:00 AM
- January 20, 2022 Green House 8:40 - 10:00 AM
- January 21, 2022 Yellow House 8:40 - 10:00 AM
- MWHS Parent Orientation-January 13, 2022 @6:00 PM:
- This in person event will be held in the MW High School Auditorium and Live Streamed via Local Live. Also, a recording of the live stream will be available on our district web page beginning Friday, January 14, 2022.
High School Electives: An interest form will be sent this week from the MWMS guidance office.
MWHS Summer Orientation: August, date TBA.
