Clubs/Activities: will continue to meet this week.  Though most will be virtual,  all in-person after school activities will begin at 3:20 PM (including Athletics and Drama). Transportation will not be provided.

Virtual Classroom Expectations:

  • Be on time for class
  • Make sure your Chromebook is charged
  • Dress appropriately for class
  • We strongly encourage students to have cameras on as this has a direct correlation to academic success
  • Be engaged in your class (put distractions away and focus on learning)
  • Keep your microphone muted during class unless you are speaking
  • Cell phone use is not permitted during remote instruction
  • Recording of any kind is not permitted during class time

*During remote instruction, students are expected to complete all schoolwork, homework, and/or classwork by the assigned due dates.

*There will be no Google Classroom Invitations for Lunch, Studyhall or Flex.

Meals: For families in need, food will be distributed at the middle school between the hours of 11:00am. - 1:00pm. Please drive to the loading dock on the side of the building closest to the high school.

Teacher Absence:  In the event a teacher is out sick during the remote time, asynchronous work will be posted in the Google Classroom.  There will not be a Google Meet for the class.

Snow Days:  Just a reminder that we do have traditional Snow Days this year.  In the event school is closed due to inclement weather, there will be no instruction on that day.

It is important to note that we anticipate this move to remote learning to be temporary and look forward to being back to in-person instruction next week. In order to do so, we will need the help of our entire school community. Please make note of the following important safety reminders:

  • Please keep students home if they are not feeling well.
  • Get tested if you are feeling sick (some symptoms reported with the latest variant have been very mild).
  • Wear a mask indoors at ALL times- This is not optional and is as important as ever.
  • Stay spaced whenever possible.
  • Wash your hands frequently.

Thank you for your support as we keep our students learning and persevere through this latest surge of the pandemic. If we can be of any assistance, please let us know.

Be well,

MWMS Leadership Team
