Monroe-Woodbury Middle School seventh grade students in Ms. Alonzo’s technology class put their engineering skills to the test as they designed and constructed their own Air Racers. Students used precise measurements and worked collaboratively to see whose creation could travel the farthest.
Under Ms. Alonzo’s guidance, this hands-on competition encouraged students to apply different concepts to see how their design choices would affect flight distances and speed. This competition gave students a chance to get creative with their designs, while reinforcing important STEM concepts.
