Starting your day with a nutritious breakfast is key to a productive environment. The most recent “Crusader Cause for Applause” recipient Dawn Ricaurte, Cook Manager at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School, is one of the people who makes sure this is possible for each student that enters through the cafeteria door.
Mrs. Ricaurte has worked in the food services department since 2007. Regarded as a strong leader, Mrs. Ricaurte was instrumental in creating a “grab & go” breakfast program at MWMS where students were able to get their meals more efficiently. Mrs. Ricaurte was nominated by Food Services Director Marilyn Prestia who said, “Your unwavering dedication, hard work and the positive impact you consistently have on both students and staff have not gone unnoticed.”
Middle School Principal Christopher Berger said, “This initiative and her dedication is a clear example of Dawn going above and beyond to support the well-being of our students and her commitment to academic achievement and success for all students in a safe environment.”
Congratulations, Mrs. Ricaurte! You are truly appreciated!
