The eighth grade hallway at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School has come to life as students and staff paint a mural based on this year’s district theme, New Beginnings. The design for the project was chosen based on student submissions. A collaboration between the art department and local artist Joe Pimental, drawings were blended together to create an overall sketch that covers a portion of the hallway.
Students created artwork based on their interpretation of six key words surrounding the New Beginnings theme: integrity, honesty, compassion, fairness, ethics and respect. This wall has already brought smiles to students and faculty alike as they pass it on their way to their next class.
