Orange and Rockland Utilities (O&R) notified the school district today that the power in Monroe-Woodbury High School and Monroe-Woodbury Middle School must be shut off to address a wiring issue on Dunderberg Road.
To accommodate O&R, MWHS students will be dismissed at 1:45 p.m. and MWMS students will be released at 2:50 p.m. today, Thursday, September 28. All students and staff must vacate the buildings upon dismissal. Families should anticipate that their children will arrive home a few minutes early today.
All HS and MS after school activities are canceled today. All athletic competitions and practices are canceled for today with the exception of Girls’ Varsity Soccer Senior Night game and festivities. The Girls’ Varsity Soccer Senior Night will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Field #12. Middle School Open House will take place as scheduled.
Power should be restored in both buildings by 4 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.
