Dear 8th Grade Families,
Due to the ongoing hazardous air quality conditions impacting the Northeast, the 8th Grade field trip to Lake Compounce in Connecticut has been postponed. The trip has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 21.
According to recent reports, air quality levels will remain in the high risk category in Bristol, CT tomorrow. In addition, our district physician has recommended that students remain inside while these conditions persist. We know that this is a highly anticipated event for our students and want to ensure that they have a wonderful celebration in a fun outside venue. We will always put the safety and well-being of our students and staff first.
Due to park hours on June 21, students will take their regular school bus to the Middle School that morning and depart for Lake Compounce at 8:30am. Parents will be required to pick up their child(ren) when the buses return to the Middle School at 7:00 pm. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to celebrating our eighth graders on June 21!
