The annual regional spelling bee took place at Orange-Ulster BOCES on March 16, 2023, where 14 spellers from around the region competed for the chance to compete at the national level at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Congratulations to 7th grader Johan Davis who outspelled 9 competitors and 8th grader Izgi Bogubaev, who tied for second with two other spellers. Well done!
The event is organized each year by the Division of Instructional Support Services and was sponsored by Orange-Ulster BOCES, in collaboration with the Orange County School Boards Association and the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan.
