Business Education
The Business Education Program is designed to offer students the opportunity to develop needed skills and competencies in four major areas: General Business, Information Processing, Finance and Marketing. A wide variety of course offerings that are relevant and give our diverse student body an opportunity to acquire marketable interpersonal and consumer survival skills needed in their job and in their adult personal lives.
The objective of Business Education is to serve students in the following areas:
occupational business programs;
academic programs - make college experiences easier; and
development of personal-use skills.
Most occupational pursuits require computer use. The ability to keyboard is a vital skill needed by all students. Therefore, we strongly encourage students to have basic keyboarding/computer skills as soon as possible in their high school careers. The selection of The “Keys” to Success course will accomplish this objective. It is also highly recommended that students learn not only about the importance of finding the perfect career, but also to be able to budget and manage expenses. Career and College Planning will accomplish this objective.
