While volunteering with Kids Changing the World Club (KCW), MWHS students showed true sportsmanship, heart and compassion by assisting children with disabilities play various sports. These students demonstrated what it truly means to be a Crusader. #mwfam




MWHS senior Joe Matise visited Washington, D.C. with Vietnam War Veteran Ray Grzywaczewski as 1 of 5 high school students selected and sponsored by the Rotary Club to serve as a Youth Guardian for the Hudson Valley Honor Flight. Joe was nominated by his varsity baseball coach Chris Vero. He spent the day with Ray and many other local veterans on Mission #34. Hudson Valley Honor Flight is a nonprofit organization which “Honors American Veterans” for all their sacrifices. We are proud of you, Joe, and thank all veterans for their service to our country!🇺🇸✈️

At the start of each school year, Orange County conducts an emergency early dismissal drill. This year the drill will take place on Friday, October 11, and students will go home 15 minutes early. Parents and guardians should be prepared for students to arrive home 15 minutes earlier than usual. Thank you!


The MWHS Humanities Program kicked off its 11th year on September 27 with a full house! Students and teachers in the MWHS Humanities program gathered together in community to share what the program means to them and how they have grown as a result of being a part of the program. Students also heard inspirational messages from their teachers about how Humanities shaped them as professionals and lifelong learners. We were grateful to have some special guests that included the HS building administrators, members of the Board, and members of Central Administration, including Dr. Tracy Norman, Superintendent of Schools, who also shared some words of wisdom with the students and staff.

Reminder - School Tax Payments are due 10/1/24
School Taxes are due by October 1st. After October 1st, taxpayers will be charged a 2% penalty. For your convenience Monroe-Woodbury Central School District offers residents the opportunity to view and pay their school tax bills online. The College Board requires a digital upload of all registered students, so late registrations cannot be accepted.
