On Tuesday, December 6, hundreds of high school students and staff members shared their holiday wishlists for Santa at the annual letter writing event sponsored by the MWHS Chapters of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Kids Changing the World (KCW). This event, sponsored by Macy's Believe campaign, encourages students and staff to write letters to Santa during their lunch periods. Each letter written earned Make*A*Wish a $2 donation from Macy's.
Representatives from SADD and KCW delivered 600 letters to Macy's on Friday, December 16, where they met with representatives from Macy's and The Wish House in Tarrytown, the local Hudson Valley Chapter of Make*A*Wish, to officially submit Monroe-Woodbury's letters.
Way to go, MWHS! A $1,200 donation is on its way to Make*A*Wish because of YOU! What a wonderful way to welcome in the holiday season!
