June 15, 2022
Dear MWHS Class of 2022 students and families,,
We are entering the final stages of planning for the Class of 2022 graduation ceremony! We are very excited about holding this celebration on the high school campus, surrounded by the three school buildings that have housed Monroe-Woodbury High School students throughout our district’s long history.
The ceremony will take place at the Monroe-Woodbury High School main field on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 6 p.m. I have included a lot of important information related to the event in this letter, so please take a few minutes to read it in its entirety.
We are pleased to share that the event will be live streamed, so family and friends who are unable to attend the ceremony will have the opportunity to see our graduates receive their diplomas live! Please share the following live stream link with your family and friends: https://events.locallive.tv/events/75155.
Your children have made a great impact on our school and community and we are looking forward to celebrating their accomplishments.

In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 10 a.m. on the main field. If we experience inclement weather on both Friday and Saturday, we will need to make alternative indoor arrangements for the ceremony.
Student Drop-off/Arrival: Graduates must arrive at the high school gymnasium no later than 5:00 p.m. via the Middle School Entrance from Nininger Road. Graduates who are driving themselves should park in the Upper Senior Lot. If you are dropping a student off, please enter through the Middle School Entrance and proceed to the Music Wing. You will then be directed where to park.
Cars will enter campus through the Middle School Main Entrance if they are traveling from the Nininger side of Dunderberg. Cars will enter campus through the High School Main Entrance if they are traveling from the Central Valley side of Dunderberg. Dunderberg will be closed to cars between MWMS and MWHS.
Parking will be available in designated high school and middle school lots (see attached diagram). Personnel will be on hand to guide guests to designated parking.
Shuttle bus service will be available from Central Valley Elementary and the main entrances of MWMS and MWHS buildings.
Handicapped parking will be available at Central Valley Elementary, 45 Route 32, which is adjacent to the football field. A shuttle bus will provide transportation from CV for those guests who require additional assistance. Please contact Rosemarie Perez at 845-460-7000, ext. 7002, if you have questions related to handicapped parking.

Photography: A professional photographer will be present and will contact families directly regarding photo packages. Students will be photographed as they receive their diplomas, as well as in a formal pose. Additionally, a number of staged photo locations on the main field will be available to families following the ceremony for more photographs.
Attire: Graduates’ dress should reflect the appropriate decorum of this important event. Our graduates should take special care when choosing their footwear; they will be walking from the school building down an inclined, paved walkway and will be seated on the football field to receive their diplomas. For safety reasons, high heels are not permitted on the turf field.
NOTE: All books and Chromebooks must be returned and outstanding fines paid by Wednesday, June 22. Students must satisfy any outstanding fines before receiving their diplomas or report cards. Please be advised that no fines will be collected on graduation day.
