Of note:
*Future Business Leader is the prestigious award of the competition. It is most often bestowed upon seniors only; shout out to MWHS Junior Rohan Sonayka for this special recognition!
**Varsha Jegan competed in Journalism, which is a fairly new event and difficult to place in.
***First time an M-W student placed.
Both Diya Mangatt and Visakhi Miriyapalli took their titles with members of the state office voting them into their respective positions. It was a special win as they took over the titles of our existing two state officers who are seniors, Zongyuan (Derek) Li and Matthew Edelstein.
Diya will be the District 3N Officer for 2022-2023 school year while Visakhi will take over as Executive Vice President for the 2022-2023 school year. They will participate in a week-long state officer training in Saratoga during the summer.
In addition, students participated in "Our Program of Work," where students complete a variety of competitions and challenges during the course of the year. M-W students won the following:
MWHS Chapter | 1st Place | "Member Montage" |
Yoo Sup | 1st Place | "Future Framework" |
Rohan Sonayka, Sophia Yoon | 1st Place | "Rebuild and Reflect" |
Visahki Mirriyapalli, Sophia Yoon | 1st Place | "Magnify an Alumni" |
