Science research students place at competition

Congratulations to the following science research students who placed at the sub-regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) Science Research competition, held at Taconic Hills HS in Craryville, NY:

  • Julia Landres - 1st Place - "Background Replacement in Sign Language Recognition: Creation and Evaluation of Augmented Dataset"
  • Anushree Buragohain - 2nd Place - "The Effect of Personality Traits on the Academic Success of High School Students"
  • Shreya Girish  - 2nd Place - "Analyzing the Accuracy Between the PinPoint and Platform Stance in Junior Female Tennis Serves"

All three will be moving on to the Upstate JSHS Competition where Julia will be a speaker and Shreya and Anushree will be poster presenters. Good luck, Crusaders!
