Celebrating Human Rights Through Art

Monroe-Woodbury High School Senior Art Majors artwork will be on display in the exhibit, "An Artist's Response to Human Rights" sponsored annually by the Orange County Human Rights Commission. For more than a decade, our  students have participated in this annual exhibition. After a three year hiatus,  the exhibition opportunity has been reinstated. This year thirty-five students will be  exhibiting their artwork.

The MWHS student artists reviewed and researched the thirty articles outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  They each chose one of the thirty articles and created visual interpretations in a variety of media.  The artwork will be on on display at:

Orange Hall Gallery, SUNY Orange, Middletown Campus

December 1,  2023 - January 5, 2024  There will be an  opening reception on Tuesday. December 5, 2023 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM.
