With the anticipated heat in the upcoming days, the district is working to mitigate temperatures in our schools to ensure the well-being of all students. Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18, air conditioned areas and water stations will be available in each of the school buildings. Building administrators will continue to monitor classrooms through the day to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. Classes will have access to the air conditioned areas as needed.
As you are aware, schools and offices are closed on Wednesday, June 19, in honor of Juneteenth. After reviewing the student calendar and taking into consideration the upcoming weather, the district will now move up the early dismissal schedule to include Thursday, June 20.
The early dismissal times on Thursday, June 20, are as follows: UPK - 11:10 a.m. dismissal, M-W Middle School ā 11:37 a.m. dismissal, Sapphire and Smith Clove (K-1) ā 11:45 a.m. dismissal, Central Valley, North Main, Pine Tree ā 12:45 p.m. dismissal.
High school exams will remain as scheduled. Friday, June 21, is an established early dismissal per the district calendar and will follow the same schedule outlined above. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. We are excited to share the final days of school with your children.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, District residents passed the $223,614,319 budget for the 2024-2025 school year by a vote of 1,035 yes votes to 373 no votes ā an approval rating of 73.5 percent.
Kaytlin Simmons was elected with 777 votes; Candice DeLeo Novack was elected with 747 votes; and incumbent Dawn Tauber was elected with 709 votes. Anthony Andersen had 698 votes and Jamell Evans had 663 votes.
District officials would like to thank members of the M-W community for their continued support of our schools.


REMINDER: The annual school budget vote and Board of Education election will be held today, May 21, from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. at Central Valley Elementary School, 45 Route 32, Central Valley.

REMINDER: Meet the 2024-25 Board of Education Candidates on Thursday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the MS auditorium. The event will also be offered via livestream. REMINDER: On Thursday, May 16, "Don't Press Send" Founder and President Katie Duffy Schumaker will be offering a parent workshop at 6:30 p.m. @Monroe-Woodbury High School. This adult-only event is designed to help families "find technologyās place by promoting mindful living, and kind and careful online communication." She will share strategies helping parents navigate this ever-changing technological world, by addressing the importance of digital well-being. Don't miss this important event!
