Ms. Mullen's ENL students had fun creating self portraits and drawing flags from their home countries to be displayed throughout their classroom at Central Valley Elementary. The purpose of the project was to connect new students with current students, and talk about all of the diverse places they are from. The students were able to talk to the new entrants and find connections between their cultures and home countries, creating a culture of friendship and warmth.
