Dear Crusader families, M-W faculty and staff,
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I have just completed my first day of school as a Monroe-Woodbury Crusader and I could not be more impressed.
I visited all seven schools today, which reinforced why Monroe-Woodbury is a very special school district. From the moment our students and staff entered the schools this morning, the hallways were buzzing with excitement, high energy and warmth. It was heartwarming to see staff and students greet each other with high fives and hugs. We are so excited to see all that this school year has in store.
I have just received confirmation that our final student has been transported safely home. Thank you to the M-W transportation team for taking such good care of our students, and thank you to our families for your patience as our students and bus drivers get acclimated to their new routes. Please anticipate that buses may arrive at bus stops a few minutes late during these first few days of school.
I am privileged to lead a district that has such dedicated educators and amazing students. I look forward to the days and weeks ahead, my first as a Crusader. Enjoy your child’s stories about their first day of school; these memories are precious.
Warm regards,
Tracy Norman
Superintendent of Schools
