Dear M-W families,
With the anticipated heat in the upcoming days, the district is working to mitigate temperatures in our schools to ensure the well-being of all students. Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18, air conditioned areas and water stations will be available in each of the school buildings. Building administrators will continue to monitor classrooms through the day to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. Classes will have access to the air conditioned areas as needed.
As you are aware, schools and offices are closed on Wednesday, June 19, in honor of Juneteenth. After reviewing the student calendar and taking into consideration the upcoming weather, the district will now move up the early dismissal schedule to include Thursday, June 20.
The early dismissal times on Thursday, June 20, are as follows:
Early Dismissal
UPK - 11:10 a.m. dismissal
M-W Middle School – 11:37 a.m. dismissal
Sapphire and Smith Clove (K-1) – 11:45 a.m. dismissal
Central Valley, North Main, Pine Tree – 12:45 p.m. dismissal
High school exams will remain as scheduled.
Friday, June 21, is an established early dismissal per the district calendar and will follow the same schedule outlined above.
