Congrats to Varsity Cheerleading and Boys Swimming and Diving, otherwise known as Section IX Champions! And kudos to Boys and Girls Indoor Track - both won the OCIAA Division 1 Championships (no sectional championships this year). Way to go, Crusaders!

MWHS senior, Sydney Waldner, has been chosen to receive the 2022 NYS PTA Susanne Smoller Commitment to Advocacy Youth Award! The purpose of this award is to encourage seniors to pursue post-secondary education or training and to continue their active engagement in advocacy in the areas of HIV/AIDS, the LGBTQ+ community, mental health, social justice or substance use.
Susanne Smoller was a member of the Executive Board of NYS PTA and this award is named for her advocacy in these areas.

Music Boosters Scholarships reward students in grades 5-12 who demonstrate outstanding musicianship and dedication in Chorus, Band or Orchestra. Scholarships in the form of cash awards are presented to winners at spring concerts. Details are on the website. Deadline is March 7!

This week at North Main, according to the students in Ms. Bennett’s class, they became celebrities! On Wednesday, February 2nd, as part of World Read Aloud Day Ms. Bennett’s 2nd grade class joined several thousand other classes around the world in watching various authors read their stories. Out of three thousand classes in their session, Ms. Bennett’s class was picked to read a portion of the book! The students were so excited to have this opportunity!
