Requirements

All students are required to take one semester of Health to satisfy the New York State graduation requirements. We recommend that students take Health in 10th grade and should consider taking both Health electives as well.

**Beginning with the class of 2021 Monroe-Woodbury is requiring that students take a second semester of health in Junior or Senior year to graduate. The following 2 courses will meet that requirement:

  • Generation Health

  • Critical Issues in Health

First Aid & CPR for College Credit does NOT meet the graduation requirement; it is for interest only.

Research shows that health is directly linked to educational achievement, quality of life and economic productivity.
