Congratulations to MWHS senior Rory Nowosielski for your impressive accomplishments on and off the rink! You truly embody the characteristics of a Monroe-Woodbury Crusader.

Rory is a senior on the Varsity Hockey team. According to Head Coach Andy Chalfin:

"Rory is a 3 year varsity hockey letterman. His attitude is the absolute best. He's excited to come to practice, he greets all coaches and teammates, he creates a family environment wherever he goes. He understands that although in sports it's nice to win, it's more of the thrill of competition, learning the game, and honoring your teammates and coaches. During the first team meeting we had in November, I explained to the kids that we are holding the metaphorical flame of the candle of Monroe-Woodbury Hockey, a program over 40 years old and we need everyone to act like a captain. There hasn't been anyone I have met that has answered a call like that more than Rory. Talk about a classy, unselfish, mature, young man, whether or not there is a C on his jersey is always a captain!"

The Student Spotlight recognizes one student-athlete each week who truly represents #crusaderpride. Way to go, Rory!
