DONATION DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL DECEMBER 8
During this time of Thanksgiving, the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District is especially grateful for the many blessings that make this school community so wonderful: our students, families, local businesses and residents.
The district has learned that our local food banks, sponsored by St. Patrick’s Parish Outreach, are in dire need of food items and supplies to help meet the needs of local families. During the month of November, the district will be collecting the following items that may be dropped at boxes located at each of our schools, the Education Center and the Bus Garage.
To ensure their requests are met, we ask that students and staff from designated schools/departments purchase the specified items below:
Grade/Department | Who? | Items |
UPK-Grade 1 | Students & Staff | Boxed cereal |
Grades 2-5 | Students & Staff | Canned beans, canned fruit, canned tuna, chicken or salmon |
Grades 6-8 | Students | Pasta sauce |
Grades 6-8 | Staff | Diapers - Sizes 4, 5, 6 |
Grades 9-12 | Students | Pancake mix |
Grades 9-12 | Staff | Laundry detergent |
Ed Center, MCC, Transportation, B&G | Staff | Winter hats, gloves, mittens & scarves |
Students may drop off donations in collection boxes at all schools or families are welcome to drop off items during school hours. Parent-Teacher conferences are a great time to drop off items! Members of the community are welcome to participate in the food/supply drive and are invited to drop off items to any school or to the Education Center during school hours.
Together, we will make a difference in the lives of many this holiday season. Thank you!
