On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the Orange County Sheriff's Office Special Operation Group, the Tactical Response Unit and NYSP SORT team will participate in a training exercise at the Monroe-Woodbury High School.
Residents in the area should expect a significant police presence with many police vehicles and tactical equipment. This is a TRAINING EXERCISE ONLY and should not cause public alarm.
Very detailed safety precautions will be in effect on campus throughout the training.
