Mrs. Garling |
Back in the late 80's I graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in Psychology. After a year or so I decided that what I really wanted to do was teach! So, I returned to Oneonta to complete a second degree in Elementary Education. I am so glad that I did, because I LOVE working with kids!
I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 5th grade. While I was working down in our nation's capitol I jumped at the chance to get my Masters Degree form the University of Virginia. I specialized in Educational Psychology with a specialty in Gifted Ed.
A few years back I decided to move closer to home and spend more time with my family. Now I live in the Town of Newburgh and love working on my backyard and gardening.
I have a wonderful little kitty name Gypsy. She is very special to me. We discovered her and her brothers and sisters after they were born under our front steps! She is so much fun!
Some of the things that I enjoy are: reading, playing with my nephews, needlepoint, going to the movies, golfing and watching New York sports. GO Yankees! GO Giants!

My undergraduate work was at William Paterson University in NJ and my graduate work was completed at SUNY New Paltz. |
I live right here in Monroe with my husband John. I have two daughters who were students at MW. Now they are both teachers!
I really enjoy antiques - buying them, finding them and refurbishing them. I also love to paint folk art. Reading is a passiono f mine too. I am an avid YANKEE fan =)!

| Mrs. Renee Pearce, MS Teacher Hello! I have been teaching for 9 years now. It is something I always knew I wanted to do. Both my mother and grandmother were teachers and my sister became an Art teacher as well! I have been working at the Middle School as the Gifted and Talented teacher for 4 years. Before that I taught second grade here at MW and 4th grade in the Cornwall School District. |

I did my undergraduate work at Rider University in Elementary Education and Communications, with a concentration in Speech. I got my Masters in Gifted and Talented Education at the University of Connecticut.
As a student, I attended the Monroe-Woodbury School District and North Main. I participated in the Gifted and Talented program too! I can remember being part of an Invention Convention and Odyssey of the Mind.
I live in Highland Mills with my husband, our dog Auggie and our cat Henry. Our first child. Lincoln John was born in January.
In my free time I LOVE to read, go antiquing, do crossword puzzles, go walking with the dog, and am an avid sports fan! I competed on the Diving Team in High School and college and currently work as an official for Varsity Swimming meets.
