This year, as in the past, Monroe-Woodbury’s transportation department made blankets for Project Linus, a non profit organization that offers homemade blankets for children. Volunteers, known as “blanketeers,” provide new, handmade, washable blankets to be given as gifts to seriously ill and traumatized children, ages 0-18.
This year Monroe-Woodbury’s volunteers made 188 blankets, 35 more than last year! Organizer Sue Pratt motivated her team to keep up the good work.
M-W recognizes our transportation department for making a difference in the community. #mwcares
