A team of M-W High School STARS students participated in the Hudson Valley AIDS Walk on Saturday, May 7. STARS is a peer education program that trains students in grades 10-12 in HIV-AIDS issues. These students in turn develop lesson plans to share in K-9 health classes.
The group donated $500 to the cause and walked over the Hudson River Walkway in Poughkeepsie. They also won a trophy for best dressed team.
