On April 15, the Monroe-Woodbury community gathered in the Pine Tree cafetorium for “Coffee House,” a special parents’ night out.
The annual Pine Tree Coffee House initiative was started several years ago to showcase the musical talents of the M-W faculty and to raise money for Our Father’s Kitchen soup kitchen in Monroe.
This event has raised more than $10,000 since its inception. This year, the grand total raised was $2,824. Robin White, a 4th grade teacher at Pine Tree, continues to be instrumental in the organization and implementation of this unique annual event.
Thank you to the entire community for donating raffle items, purchasing raffle tickets and providing desserts. Bravo to all the talented performers and a huge note of thanks to all who attended. One of the many beautiful aspects of this night, other than the great desserts, vibrant musical selections and wonderful prizes, is how the performers represent the entire school district, not just Pine Tree staff.
This truly is a very special evening! Thank you to all who participated this year!
