Golfer Olivia Doughty is Athlete of the Week

on May 10, 2017

The Monroe-Woodbury Athletic Director, Lori Hock, would like to announce that Olivia Doughty is the “Athlete of the Week” for the week ending May 12, 2017 for the Monroe-Woodbury Girls Varsity Golf Team coached by William Earl.

Olivia Doughty is a junior and has been competing on the Girls Golf Team since she entered high school. This year her two goals were: TEAM SUCCESS and to qualify for the Section IX Girls Golf Championship. Olivia’s scoring average over par is lowest on the team, and she hopes to qualify for the Girls Golf Championship at Apple Greens Golf Course in the weeks ahead. Academically her G.P.A. has helped the team earn NYS Scholar Athlete Team recognition for the last 3 years as well. When Olivia is not at Monroe Country Club hitting balls or studying for exams, she can be found playing the flute in the M-W Wind Ensemble or participating in contemporary, jazz or tap dance.

Congratulations Olivia!
