February 6 – February 16 – PARP: Reading Rocks
People as Reading Partners, PARP, is a program designed to engage and involve parents, guardians and other adults in fostering the love of reading in children. PARP: Reading Rocks, will run from Monday, February 6 through Thursday, February 16, 2017. The theme this year ties in with the CV Music Department’s Musical, “Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr.”
All students are encouraged to participate by reading for 30 minutes each night and keeping a reading log.

Monday, February 6: Turn off Your TV Night –no computer games either!
Wednesday, February 8: Team Jersey Day!
Friday, February 10: School Spirit Day – Dress in M-W Purple!
Tuesday, February 14: I read today! Wear the color RED to school to show that you read today.
Wednesday, February 15: Author/Illustrator Michael Dooling visits CVE
Thursday, February 16: Pajama Day. Wear your pajamas to school. Listen to a story read by a special guest in the library. Then enjoy an ice cream sundae!!!
Tuesday, February 21: Reading Logs are due.
During the month of February our local public libraries (Monroe, Tuxedo and Woodbury) are encouraging families to visit and obtain a library card. Small prizes will be given to those students who use their library card during the month of February.
