There’s no such thing as “lazy, hazy days of summer” at the Monroe-Woodbury Transportation Department. They are busy winning awards!
  • M-W trainer wins statewide award.

Mrs. Stewart is joined by her family and colleagues to celebrate this special recognition.

Congrats to Louise Stewart, the district’s 19-A Examiner/Driver Trainer, who is the recipient of  the 2016 School Bus Driver Trainer of The Year Award. She was recognized in July at the New York Association for Pupil Transportation Conference held in Albany. Louise participates in many local and state school bus safety committees. She trains and observes M-W drivers to meet the highest standards of their profession. In addition, Mrs. Stewart also organizes the M-W School Bus Safety Poster Contest.

  • Winners of the Poster Contest: This year’s First Place, Division II Poster Contest winner was Central Valley Elementary student Brayan Sanchez and First Place, Division III Poster Contest winner was M-W Middle School student Jennifer Song. Both posters will go on to be judged at the National Association for Pupil Transportation Conference.
  • Congratulations to New York Association for Pupil Transportation’s (NYAPT) Student Scholarship winner Jensen Rodenheiser.  Jensen is a 2016 Monroe-Woodbury graduate and the daughter of School Bus Attendant Laurie Rodenheiser.
