Athletic Field Availability
Monroe-Woodbury Central School District athletic fields are available to non-school community teams that have obtained school district approval if the time/site/date does not conflict with district athletic teams, provided that the fields are playable.
Public meetings are held two times each year to schedule the use of fields and gymnasium space for community teams. The spring field and gym use meeting is held in February and the fall field and gym use meeting is held in August. Watch the district website for the dates and times of these meetings. Applications for summer field usage can be submitted to the Business office in May and June.
Fields Closed or Open
Depending upon weather conditions, it is sometimes necessary to close the fields to avoid damage to the turf. A system has been created to alert community users to the current status of the fields. A flag will be hung above the concession stand in the Athletic Fields complex to indicate field status. A green flag indicates the fields can be used, a red flag indicates the fields cannot be used.
Please check the flag above the concession stand in the Athletic Fields Complex prior to using the fields. The community’s cooperation in maintaining the condition of the fields is vital.
